2: Why we selected 316 Stainless Steel.

We decided to make Lock Protection^™ from 316 Stainless Steel and not 304 Stainless Steel because 316 Stainless Steel has additional benefits.

316 Stainless Steel is used to manufacturer products that need to resist corrosive environments.

• is about one tenth the cost of 316 Stainless Steel to purchase
• is easier to work with
• would only take half the time to manufacture

Mild steel corrodes (rusts) quickly especially when used near sea water vapour and other corrosive elements.

If we made Lock Protection^™ from mild steel we could only give our purchasers a 6 month warranty because of its limited life-span whereas making it from 316 Stainless Steel it will last a life-time and longer.
